Travel by Air
From the south, Fort Liard is most often accessed through Fort Nelson, BC. Central Mountain Air offers regularly scheduled flights to Fort Nelson from Edmonton, AB, Grande Prairie, AB, and Fort St. John, BC. From
Simpson, travelers can charter flights into Fort Liard with

From Fort Simpson, travelers can charter flights into Fort Liard with, Simpson Air, South Nahanni Airways or Wolverine Air, or can take a regularly scheduled taxi into town. If you are flying your own plane, Fort Liard has an all weather gravel runway and CARS (Community Airport Radio Station) radio operations. Radio operations are from 8 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
